Danish
by birth (Århus).
- Came to England in the late 1950's. Spent many years
caring for her handicapped daughter (link).
Cross-stitch embroidery and design have been her main hobbies. She also
plays the piano and (
is) was desperate
to find the music for a piece called 'Bosun's Story' that she remembers
from her childhood. It is apparently in a collection called "FROM
ANCIENT TO MODERN 15 EASY PIECES PIANO SOLO - Arranger: ROWLEY, A"
- that is apparently out of print. STOP
PRESS - through a fellow-barbershopper, she now has a copy!
Thank you, Frank.
- She has been gainfully employed as a Post Office Counters
assistant, plus making use of her knowledge of Danish language testing
for a well known airline and translating for a firm making computer
cleaning products - but is now essentially retired, apart from one or
two sessions a week at a local Cancer Research shop as a volunteer.
- She has two daughters from a previous marriage: Marianna
James (née Plummer), born 1966; Annalisa Plummer, born 1971 (see
Trisomy 22 page).
- Grandchildren: Scott James, born 1991; Bonnie James,
born 1994.
